Hundreds of hours went into drawing this one mandala. Every part of the design was drawn by hand, and then perfected electronically before being printed onto velvet.
Velvet does something to a drawing like this. The pile catches the light differently across the curves, so the teals go deep in one direction and lift in the other, and the whole thing shifts slightly as you walk past it. Photographs can only half show you that.

WHAT IT IS
An approximately 45 x 45 cm cushion cover. The front is printed velvet, my artwork digitally printed onto the cloth by a small fabric printer in Derbyshire. The back is plain satin in one of six colours. Both are 100% polyester, which is what gives the velvet its lustre and the satin its shine.
The printed cloth comes to me and I do the rest. Cut, sew, fit the zip along the bottom edge, sew in the Dinni Doll printed label, press and package.

Six satin colours, all pulled out of the mandala itself, so it works whichever way round it ends up facing:

PLEASE READ, THIS IS A COVER ONLY
You are buying the cover. There is no insert inside it, and none is included. The photographs show it with an insert so you can see how it sits, because a flat empty cover tells you nothing about how it looks in a room.
This fits well over a full 40x40cm cushion insert, or a moderately filled 45x45cm cushion insert.

CARE
Cool machine wash, gentle cycle, with like colours.
Do not tumble dry. Hang it and let it dry naturally.
If it needs pressing, use a cool iron on the reverse only, never on the velvet pile.
No bleach, ever.
A NOTE ON HOW IT LOOKS
Velvet reads differently depending on which way the light hits the pile, so two photographs of the same cushion can look like two different colours. Both are true. Screens lie about colour as well, and the satin backs in particular are approximate, they will be very close but not pantone perfect. The 45 x 45 cm is approximate too, everything here is cut and sewn by hand.
WHO IT SUITS
Anyone whose sofa is beige and shouldn't be. It works on a bed, a reading chair, a window seat, a dark green velvet sofa if you are lucky enough to own one. It makes a good housewarming or new home present for someone who likes mandalas, jewel colours, boho patterns, or a bit of drama where drama is not expected.

Please note that animals are very much a part of my work and studio life. They always have been and they always will be.
While every effort has been made to ensure that this product reaches you fur free, it is impossible to guarantee it. So therefore, if you are severely allergic to cats, then perhaps my products are not meant for you.
